Desktop Virtualization

Desktop virtualization (VDI) is the concept of providing users with virtually provisioned desktops.  The VDI concept has been around for well over a decade, and has had that time to functionally mature into an enterprise ready solution.  Over the past few years Information Technology has taken a big leap forward with the advent of client-side Operating Systems delivery, as opposed to deployment.  The VDI computing model has many inherent benefits which extend beyond just simplified administration and reduced hardware costs.  The VDI model creates scenarios condusive to greater flexibility in the choice of the end user computing devices, and location.  The end user experience is the same regardless of the device being used, or the physical location from which they connect.  A deployed desktop also greatly reduces the workload on the IT department typically associated with routine adds, moves and changes.

SotirIS has virtualization experts on staff ready to assist you in the evaluation, design and implementation of a full scale VDI solution tailored to fit the needs of your organization.
